Arrested with drug possession is not the way to go when you are on probation.
On Wed., Sept. 1,2010 Grammy winner T.I and his wife Tameka were arrested in Los Angeles for marijuana possession.
“Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,” the Los Angeles sheriff’s department said.
A narcotics investigation ensued and resulted in the arrests. T.I. and Tameka were released from jail Sept. 2, 2010 at 4 a.m. at a $10,000 bail each.
T.I is now headed back to Atlanta to have a court hearing with a judge who took time off a potential prison term.
In October 2007, undercover federal agents arrested T.I. trying to buy machine guns, ammunition and silencers.
Andrew Young, the UN ambassador, told Pannell that T.I’s plea was wholehearted.
“I would have simply sent you to prison.” Pannell told T.I. if he failed his time in community service.
“The terms of T.I.’s probation say he cannot possess or use any narcotic or controlled substance or frequent places where drugs are “illegally sold, used, distributed or administered.”
He also cannot associate with anyone engaged in criminal activity, the terms of his sentence dictate.
The only unanswered question will be answered by Pannell and is to be determined only if it is found that the rapper didn’t follow his probation.
T.I. recent new movie, “Takers,” directed by John Luessenhop, is currently on the top box office chart.
“King Uncaged,” T.I.’s new album, is set to be released this year.
