Giving back is the most precious thing someone can do in life.

On Wednesday parent night was held at Hanks High School. Many of Hanks clubs came together to help the cafeteria ladies progress the successful parent night including Interact, cheerleading and JROTC.

The jobs that were assigned to the students of these clubs were giving with a very wide variation. One of the jobs assigned was the deliverer, someone who sent out the food to the teachers who bought a ticket to support the clubs that were selling them.

Students had to serve the spaghetti along with a side salad and a piece of bread so that it could be picked up with no wait. The last job was cleaning, and these students were behind the scenes washing and cleaning the dirty dishes.

“It was very rewarding to help out. I felt like I was a big contributor to parent night,” said sophomore Luz Porras.
