The movies is a place to go to escape reality and view life in which most wish they could have, get a good heart pounding scare, or even get a perspective on history.
Watching any type of movie is worth the high price paid for a two hour affair. However, going to a movie might be one of the least expensive entertainments one could aquire.
Handing over the money and recieving the ticket needed to enter the cinema theater, allows one’s anxiety raises.
“I get really excited when i go to the movies because it is usually a movie that I have been looking foward to seeing” said junior Saida Chrisman.
When one gets into their chosen theater room, there are people already seated talking and staring at a blank screen.
Patience starts to wear thin, but if one takes too long to get to the theater, there might not be any good seats available. So as the time passes, the screen starts to show simple commercial and behind the scene looks of movies similar to the one about to be watched.
The lights finally go out. That’s when one thinks the movie is about to start, but more movie previews start to appear.
Finally after that the movie starts to begin, so does the talking.
People here and there, usually adolescents, have conversations about people in their classes and talking about what the movie is about and questions about the movie which could be discussed after the movie, but most find it the perfect time to start discussing during the movie.
Everyone who can hear the disruptivness starts to hush the adolescents, which makes the theater even louder.
Then right after everyone starts to get quiet, someone’s cell phone begins to ring.
Ironic because there was a notice not too long ago that stated to kindly turn off all cell phones.
Upset that one’s movie day is starting off bad, the movie theater finally becomes peaceful. Quiet and listening to the movie, absorbing everything one needs to absorb. Just when one thinks this is the end of disturbances, the crying begins.
Babies crying in the theater as if the baby was even going to watch the movie in the first place, starts crying louder and louder. The parent of the upset baby however takes him or her outside respectfully to let everyone else enjoy the movie.
Getting back into the movie, one could tell they already missed some key factors and hopes it doesn’t cost them the entire movie.
Then the words of one person just completeley annoys one.
“Excuse me,” the polite respectful words are completely ironic for the rude disrespectful act of walking through one’s face as if there was no time to get up and go to the bathroom or go to concessions while waiting for the movie to start.
By now all that one could think of is the price paid for this movie they wanted to watch ruined by people who supposedly wnted to watch the movie as well. Then the cherry on top of the splendid evening is the fact that the movie ended and one has no clue on how it got to were it ended.
