DuringĀ the first play, Broncos’ rookie quarter back, Tim Tebow, threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to wide- receiver, Demaryius Thomas. This touchdown was a shock to Bronco fans, disappointment to Steeler fans, and the AFC defending champions of themselves.

Steelers scored two field goals during the first quarter. According to an article in the National, Tebow completed ten out of 21 passes. The Steelers were scoreless in the second quarter. The Broncos suddenly took advantage of the clock and the ball possession.

“I think it was a big shocker for a rookie quarter back to defeat an experienced quarter back,” said junior Ashley Robles. “It shows that really anything is possible.”

Robles is an NFLĀ fan who knows all about how football works.

“The overtime was completely unexpected,” said junior Raul Sanchez. “When it comes to play-offs, you should expect anything to happen.”

Just like Robles, Sanchez believes that the team who is more eager to win, will win and show it with pride and dignity.
