In the beginning of 2012, rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested for carrying a small amount of marijuana in his tour bus. While at the U.S. Mexico border check in Sierra Blanca, TX, the Border Protection thought they had smelled marijuana, in which their suspicion were correct. A patrol dog had sniffed and found a prescription bottle containing rolled marijuana joints and two other containers with marijuana.

“Snoop Dogg is a known pothead,” said an anonymous border patrol agent. “He doesn’t receive special treatment because he’s famous.”

The agent said that they would have arrested him even if he was not a rapper. He believes that Snoop Dogg was maily upset about the loss of his time. It consumes a lot of time to fill out the papers to turn in about being arrested. This is called processing.

Snoop was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been arrested and convicted numerous times in the last ten years due to the possession of drugs.
