While I really enjoyed the article Healthy Lifestyles Start Now Amanda Urqidi, I am wondering why there was not any mention of the Fitness programs here at Hanks? I can only tell you how hard our physical education teachers work at helping students lose body fat, gain muscle and help maintain fitness leverls. We strive to help our students combat obesity, get in shape cardiovascularly, and succeed in reaching goals the students set for themselves. I think it is wonderful for those students who can affor a gym membership but the majority of students are not able to do so. Our department provide an vehicle to have healthy lifestyles. The body fat loss in all of our classees averaged 2%. That is incredible! We teach students how to conquer thier goals. the students are very proud of their accomplishments as are we their teachers.

I’ve followed him every since he started making videos and I fell in love with him. His death was devastating, I’ve probably cried just as much as someone who knew him. But he inspired me SO much and I’ve shared his story to everyone I know and they’ve all benefited from it someway. He is a LEGEND and his message will NEVER be forgotten. Ben, you’ll always be in my heart, RIP Ben Breedlove ♥
